Zion Williamson scores 33 most points in individual season
It was a phenomenal performance. Zion Williamson (New Orleans) bombed the most 33 points in his personal season.
The New Orleans Pelicans won 126-108 against the Toronto Raptors in the 2022-2023 NBA regular season at the Smoothie King Center at their home stadium in New Orleans on the 1st (Korea Standard Time).
With the victory, New Orleans won its 13th win (8 losses) of the season. He succeeded in continuing the good atmosphere with two consecutive wins and four wins and one loss in the last five games.
The winner was fourth-year forward Zion Williamson. Williamson bombed 33 points, the most in the season, and devastated Toronto’s bottom of the net. It was an overwhelming appearance of trying 15 field pitches and hitting 12 hits. He was able to reach a career-high score of 39 points, but he did not seem to overdo it at a time when the victory and defeat were early.
The players who played with Williamson included Trey Murphy III (26 points and 5 rebounds) and Jonas Valenschnas (16 points and 13 rebounds).
Meanwhile, the defeated Toronto fought hard with Gary Trant Jr. scoring 35 points and Pascal Siakam scoring 23 points, but lost its shine due to the defeat. He lost his 10th game of the season (11 wins).
The game tilted early in the first half. Williamson scored 17 points and Murphy III scored 15 points, harvesting a big lead at 74-45. Toronto collapsed last season when Rookie of the Year Scotty Barnes suffered a serious slump in fieldwork.
In the second half, New Orleans showed some carelessness and allowed a slight chase, but basically the gap was too wide. In the end, the lead was not overturned and the game ended 126–108.
