Can the formula “Netflix is a genre” be broken. “Into Your Time” will launch to build Netflix’s version of romance pride.
On the morning of the 4th, a production presentation for Netflix’s new series “Into Your Time” was held at the Ambassador Seoul Pullman Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul. Actors Ahn Hyo-seop, Jeon Yeo-bin, Kang Hoon, and producer Kim Jin-won, who appeared in the work, were present to talk about the work.
“Into Your Time” is a remake of the Taiwanese drama “Sangyeonni,” which became sensational in Korea. It tells the story of Jun-hee (Jeon Yeo-bin), who missed her boyfriend who passed away a year ago, time-slips to 1998 and meets Si-heon (Ahn Hyo-seop), who looks just like her boyfriend, and In-kyu (Kang-hoon).
Producer Kim Jin-won, who said, “I’m a fan of the original ‘Sangyeon’,” said, “When I first saw the news that it would be remade, I hope it won’t be remade.” “I thought it would be nice to remain as a ‘consideration tooth’,” he confessed.
Nevertheless, it was the power of the script that accepted the proposal for directing this work. He said, “When I saw the script, I felt the tone and texture of our work. Since I watched “Sangyeon-ni,” I have the power to keep wondering about the behind story even though I already know the results. “I wanted to participate in the work,” he said. He also cited the actors’ acting as the power of “Into Your Time.”
Both Ahn Hyo-seop and Kang Hoon said, “The script was read smoothly. “It was very fun,” he said. It is a script that has the power to touch the hearts of readers even though it has a widely known original work. Jeon Yeo-bin said, “It was a work that I wanted not only as an actor but also as an audience.”
Like the original “Sangyeonni,” “Into Your Time” also has a retroness that reminds you of the past because it goes back in time. Actors such as Jeon Yeo-bin and Kang Hoon raised expectations for the work by talking about items of memories that bring back the nostalgia at that time, such as diaries and cassette tapes containing old memories. Producer Kim Jin-won said, “In our work, music can be seen as another axis as music is the medium of time slip,” revealing another point to watch in “Into Your Time.”
Producer Kim Jin-won said, “As a fan of the original, I thought viewers would be curious about ‘what has changed and what has changed,’ and I also thought, ‘If too many things change and change, will it be fun?'” adding, “There are scenes that I like as an original fan and I thought viewers would like it.” “I wanted to find a balance point because I thought it shouldn’t be too much the same as the original work and it shouldn’t be too different, and finding the balance was pressured at the beginning of the shoot, but I was able to go easily because I found solutions in the middle of the shoot.”
The entire episode of “Into Your Time,” which is expected to moisten the emotions of Netflix subscribers this fall, will be released on the 8th.
