Apple production base, Zhengzhou, has been completely blocked. iPhone production disruptions
As China has decided to block Zhengzhou, which has a population of 1 million, Apple’s iPhone production base is also expected to be shut down, Bloomberg reported on the 17th.
The city of Zhengzhou recently announced that six confirmed cases of COVID-19 were found in the Zhengzhou area, and that all 1 million residents should stay at home except for the COVID-19 test from the 17th.
In addition, Zhengzhou City ordered all companies except essential facilities to suspend operations.
Jeongzhou is a provincial capital in Henan Province, where a large number of Taiwanese Foxconn and related companies, which produce iPhones on consignment, move in.
It is one of Apple iPhone production bases.
Bloomberg predicted that Apple’s stock price would also be affected as the Chinese authorities’ order to suspend operations is expected to hurt iPhone production.
